Four killed in head-on collision between van and lorry in Anuradhapura

Colombo, Sept. 25 (Daily Mirror) - Four people were killed early today when a Dolphin van collided head-on with a lorry in Mihirigama, Thalawa, Anuradhapura, police said. The accident occurred at around 4:50 am on the Anuradhapura-Kurunegala Padeniya road.

Two others were seriously injured and have been admitted to the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Thalawa Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the crash. Pic by Kushan Jayawardhana

This segment of the road is very vulnerable. Jakson Anthony also met accident ( with an Elephant) at same area. I have seen private bus drivers pretendedly wearing seat bets just to avoid traffic police.
