Four drown in Deruru Oya

Colombo, Nov. 5 (Daily Mirror) - Four individuals were reported missing from among a group of ten who were bathing near the Deduru Oya Bridge this afternoon.

Police said one person was rescued and admitted to the Chilaw Hospital.

Investigations have revealed that the group from Kiribathgoda had met with the tragedy while they were on a trip.

A rescue operation has been launched by the Chilaw police, police life guards, the Sri Lanka Navy and the residents.
