Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely . Law enforcement agencies already have god like powers like no other but making them become even more powerful is a threat not just to a democratic society but to each and every citizen of the land. In America the FBI is essentially more powerful than even the democratically elected American politicians , here the CID is fast becoming like the FBI. No, this should stop, policemen are not the brightest people in this world. Police play an important role but they must operate within strict limits. President Trump is not a likeable politician but he has certain good qualities which no other American President ever had. One of his bold tentative pledge if he is re-elected is to abolish the FBI altogether and replace it with a properly controlled new organisation.
