Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara appears before bribery commission

Colombo, Oct. 15 (Daily Mirror) - Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption today to provide a statement.

Nanayakkara was summoned in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the previous government’s program to send workers to Israel for agricultural employment.

Yesterday, the Colombo Magistrate’s Court dismissed Nanayakkara’s request for anticipatory bail, which sought protection in case of arrest by the Bribery Commission.
