Colombo, April 9 (Daily Mirror) - Former Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Ashoka Wickramasinghe has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

He was arrested on charges of forging documents related to a house in the Kataragama area that belongs to the Rajapaksa family.

Why don't they arrest the Rajapaksas first if the investigations proves they were the real owners? Looks like even the NPP government has no guts to challenge the Rajapakses. See how confident Namal Rajapakse walking in and out of CID on various charges that are being still investigated - no fear at all!

I totally agree with you. While the NPP government must be commended for ending mass scale corruption, it's so disheartening to see no serious action being taken against the family of thieves. In my opinion, they are scared.
