Forest fire reported in Ratnapura

A fire has been reported on land belonging to the Forest Conservation Department in the Kongasthenna Grama Niladhari Division, located on the border of the Weligepola and Balangoda Divisional Secretariats in Ratnapura, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said

Police have requested assistance from the Kapugala Army Camp as well as Forestry Officers to bring the blaze under control.

Did you see the young boys encamping in side the forest. These forests consist of the hilltops. Nobody can reach these forests easily. You can't find any access paths that are leading to Weligepala hill. There is nothing possible instead of climbing up. Even though the forest officers rush to the forest it is not easy to douse the fire at once please don't make the general public mislead saying cock and bull stories Don't be an absurd political henchman
