Five suspects including Kehelbaddara Padme detained for 90 days



Colombo, Sept. 2 (Daily Mirror) - Police have obtained detention orders to hold and interrogate five individuals, including Kehelbaddara Padme and Commando Salintha, for a period of 90 days.

They will be held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), according to Police.

The group, comprising Kehelbaddara Padme, Commando Salintha, Panadura Nilanga, Backhoe Saman, and Thembili Lahiru, was arrested in Indonesia on August 27 and brought back to Sri Lanka on Saturday night (30).

Police said Padme, Salintha, and Nilanga were initially handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigations, while Backhoe Saman and Thembili Lahiru were placed in the custody of the Western Province North Crimes Division for questioning.
