Five police OICs transferred with immediate effect
Colombo, June 30 (Daily Mirror) - Five Officers-in-Charge (OICs) of police stations across the country have been transferred with immediate effect, following the approval of the National Police Commission.
Accordingly, Welipanna OIC K.C.P. de Silva has been transferred to general duties in the Elpitiya Division. Meanwhile, OIC E.M.A.I.B. Ekanayaka has been appointed as the new OIC of Nawagattegama Police Station, transferring from Puttalam.
Police Inspector S.K. Anurajith, who was attached to the Colombo Central Division, has been transferred to the Welipanna Police Station as its new OIC. Additionally, Police Inspector A.H.G.R.T. Hemachandra, formerly the OIC of Karadiyanaru, has been transferred to serve as the OIC of Aduruppu Street Police Station.
Police Inspector T.C. Pathuma Kumara, who previously served at Nawagattegama Police Station, has been transferred to take up duties as the OIC of Karadiyanaru Police Station.
Police Headquarters said that these transfers have been made in line with service requirements.
