Fire destroys polythene stock at Dambulla market shop

Colombo, Sept. 18 (Daily Mirror) - A fire erupted in the early hours of this morning (18) at a shop unit inside the Dambulla market premises, administered by the Dambulla Municipal Council.

The blaze was first noticed by a municipal worker reporting for duty, who promptly alerted the fire brigade. 

Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control before it spread to nearby units.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
