Family injured in accident in Nuwara Eliya

Colombo, June 29 (Daily Mirror) - Four members of a family, including two young children, were injured in a road accident that occurred yesterday (28) afternoon in the Bambarakelle Wattha area on the Gampola-Nuwara Eliya main road, police said.

The family was travelling from Kurunegala to Bandarawela via Nuwara Eliya when their vehicle skidded off the road and overturned around 5:00 p.m., according to the Nuwara Eliya Police.

Investigations revealed that the accident was caused by the vehicle losing control due to adverse weather conditions in the area. The motor vehicle sustained significant damage in the incident.

The injured were admitted to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital, and further investigations are being carried out by the Nuwara Eliya Police.
