Exam. Dept certificates not compulsory for university admission
The certificates issued by the Examinations Department under the one-day service programme are not compulsory for submitting applications to the University Grant Commission (UGC), Examinations Department Commissioner general L.M.D Dharmasena said.
While issuing a special notice to the applicants applying for university admission based on the results of the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination 2021(2022), the UGC has confirmed that the results sheets of the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) in the following manner would be sufficient for the submission of applications.
For school and external applicants, result sheets issued by the Principal of the respective school or the result verification sheets obtained through the "Verification of Results" of the official website of the Examinations Department by making payment would be sufficient for the submission of applications.
