Evening thundershowers expected from Monday

Colombo, April 18 (Daily Mirror) - Atmospheric conditions are expected to become favorable for evening thundershowers in most parts of the island from Monday (April 20), according to the latest weather forecast issued at 4.00 p.m. today (April 18).

Showers or thundershowers are likely to occur at several places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, North-Western and Southern provinces after 1.00 p.m.

Meanwhile, mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the island during the next 36 hours.

Misty conditions can be expected in some areas of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts, during the early hours of the morning.

The public has been requested to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damages caused by temporary strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
