Evacuation red alerts issued in seven districts over landslide threat

Colombo, Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror) - The National Building Research Organization (NBRO has issued Red Alerts calling for the immediate evacuation of several Divisional Secretariat areas across Badulla, Kandy, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Matale, Monaragala, and Nuwara Eliya districts due to the heightened risk of landslides.

The alert follows continuous heavy rainfall that has triggered unstable slopes and increased the likelihood of landslides in multiple high-risk zones.
