This is not a new practice. Ambassadors have been seeing politicians, sports personalities, entertainers for ages. They are here to do those things. This may be a novel experience for JVP.

This is not fair, what about Namal baba and labba bahapu nimal siripala? They will be so upset they will offer bags of cash to any foreign delegate for a meeting now.

Nodaking kalakani Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:04 PM

Now namal will go to Europe with his wife (gnana akka II) to meet with anyone who is willing to meet them.

We need a young leader like other countries like France, Italy and UK. Not old farts who have nothing else to do in their homes to become our leaders and wreck this nation.

    DPerera Tuesday, 13 February 2024 07:40 PM

Where were those young leaders when country was in bankruptcy? Still only thing NPP could do is criticizing present government with out outline their alternative solutions to economic problem

Sam Silva Tuesday, 13 February 2024 09:04 PM

If our people vote for the old farts, the young farts don't have a chance. First you have to blame the voters. Also you can't compare other nations to our corrupt country which is bankrupt.

Dinesh Withanage Wednesday, 14 February 2024 08:32 AM

Bullshit visionary , are you going to say that our our parents getting older , they are'nt good enough in ideological values

    Johan Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:24 PM

European Union must render whatever financial help to SL once the NPP Govt.is formed. We believe NPP will be a non corrupt party and not only will have a stringent control over the economy and enact laws to bring back the looted money and put the country in the correct track.Otherwise the 52biilion dollars cannot be repaid and poor and middle class masses and the children whom are facing the famine now will have to continue for a long time.

    Nihal S Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:36 PM

Very good. It is important for you to actively engage with the international community. There is no way forward for our country without significant international support.

Lasantha Jayasinghe Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:43 PM

Continuation of the trend. When they talk, they will see the convergence of values. They will understand that NPP is a modern political force with modern social democratic values

    Tilak Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:46 PM

someone is arranging all these high profile meetings for this non entity. It will come to light after the next election

    Ruwan Tuesday, 13 February 2024 08:34 PM

It is Ranil. Who else would benefit most when JVP is on a leash. Meanwhile he'll pass all bills in parliament with no problems. This is the only way to develop the country.

    suren Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:47 PM

When these ambassadors used to meet Tamil MP's these JVP guys used to cry foul saying interference in the internal matters of SL. Now what is this?????

    Johan Tuesday, 13 February 2024 09:27 PM

More than the JVP , Pohuttuwa and Wimal used to cry foul

    Kavish Tuesday, 13 February 2024 05:52 PM

After the visit to India this chap has changed his colors. Now talking of SL's connection to international community etc. Now he will stop bashing the West for all problems created by local politicians

    Dasa P Tuesday, 13 February 2024 06:40 PM

We will hear another week long episode of jealous talks from SJB and pohottu balakaya. It is time for Namal baby to go in a European tour.

    Anil Tuesday, 13 February 2024 06:54 PM

Sri Lankan High Commissioner in India went to welcome AKD out of protocol. RR must have ordered her to do that in order to stop mouthing of this guy against India.

    Chandi Tuesday, 13 February 2024 07:02 PM

All these meetings and trips have been organized by RW, to expose AKD to the outside world. Will see how AKD has scored so far, by showing his underclass personality and lack of knowledge in English.

    Dee Tuesday, 13 February 2024 07:04 PM

Where is Lal kantha? The future defense minister!

    Sambo Tuesday, 13 February 2024 08:01 PM

Congratulations Anura. The public are fully behind you to sweep away the corrupted.

Complex Conquerors Tuesday, 13 February 2024 08:04 PM

When Europe, UK, USA, India, China, Japan or Australia allows media publicity for private meetings with politicians and political parties, it is definitely due to a geo political tactical maneuver. A toothless President with a powerful PM (for the 6th time?) is a good model to save face and yet allow the quad agenda to be seamlessly executed whilst India pushes back Chinese investments and ensures their maha bharath plan where all its neighbours are part of its colonies is realised with a common currency.

    Ima Tuesday, 13 February 2024 09:01 PM

Why this sudden,AKD turned so prominant politician, what is so impotance of this 3% leader, why those foreign dignataries ignore leaders of other political parties

    Gune Tuesday, 13 February 2024 10:26 PM

I can sense the cold feet in the Ranil and Rajapakse camps.
