Elephant falls on motorcar in road mishap

Colombo, April 30 (Daily Mirror) - An elephant fell on a speeding motorcar that collided with it near the 6th kilometre post on the Puttalam–Anuradhapura road.

However, the couple inside the motorcar had a narrow escape and were unharmed.

The couple, from the Karuwalagaswewa area, was on their way to Puttalam when their motorcar struck the wild elephant as it was crossing the road.

As such all motorists enjoy this drive as there is no interruptions and all green forest on both sides. It is specially memorable for Jaffna Tamils who have driven on this road while travelling from Jaffna to Colombo or Colombo to Jaffna.
