It is really good to see a young, progressive

If electrical reform is as good as they explain, it will benefit the efficiency, transparency, and competitiveness of the electrical sector. Sri Lankans suffer from political interference, government bureaucracy, and unpaid taxes by businessmen.

A young progressive? He, too, will be chased out very soon like most of the others of his calibre. During his tenure as minister he has been very arrogant and has brought nothing but suffering on the people.

@Nimal yes he has been so arrogant as not to take any shit from the mafia within the CEB, with a view to stemming the losses and inefficiencies with the Board.

Long overdue. Better late than never.

Only that needs fixing at LECO is their financing costs. Treasury should pay it off and take it off from their balance sheet so they dont pass it to customers. All other problems at LECO are common to all other government institutions like overtime abuse. If you cant manage LECO as 1 institution, how are you going to manage 11 institutions? Who is going to pay for additional CEOs and directors? Compared to water board, LECO is very fast. You can find them on the job within an hour of a complaint.

Minister is doing good work for ordinary peoples benefits. Time to get rid of CEB crooks, fleecing the public. SL has one of the highest electricity prices in Asia. This is making businesses uncompetitive.
