Election Commission want fuel quota increased

Chairman of Election Commission Nimal Punchihewa today said he has sought an increase of fuel quota to officers who will be put in charge of conducting the local government elections.

“I have made this request from the Ministry of Power and Energy and the government as a whole and it is still in the discussion stage,” he told the media.

“We are confident that our request will be granted soon,” he added.
