Colombo, April 9 (Daily Mirror) - The Election Commission officially announced the approval of Samantha Ranasinghe’s name to fill the vacant Parliamentary seat for the Kegalle District, following the demise of National People’s Power (NPP) MP Kosala Nuwan Jayaweera.

THE PEOPLE OF KEGALLE DISTRICT MUST BAND BEHIND RANAASINGHE AND SUPPORT THE NPP, IF THEIR LIVES ARE TO BE MADE EASIER AND UPLIFTED. WE HAVE HAD GOVTS IN THE PAST THAT HAVE NEGLECTED THE POOR AND LESS YOU ALL BEHIND. NOW WE HAVE A YOUNG PRESIDENT WITH A WILL AND DETERMINATION TO TAKE THE MAJORITY ALONG TOO IN THE RIDE INTO A MORE PROSPEROUS COUNTRY. I am no politician but I enjoy reading the comments written by citizens. Strangely enough the people are now questioning this new government of their qualifications etc! Where were these questions raised during the past governments and rulers. Ministers without basic O/L qualifications were in parliament?

It is because this govt leaders were flaunting their two cents worth qualifications. The parliament is filled with members who tried to grab power thrice by undemocratic means choosing a violent path misleading the younger generation
