Dudley Sirisena acquires one of 25 Phantom Centenary models

Colombo, Jan. 14 (Daily Mirror) - The recent acquisition of a rare Rolls-Royce Phantom Centenary Edition by Sri Lankan businessman Dudley Sirisena has drawn attention not only for the vehicle’s exclusivity, but also for the long entrepreneurial journey behind it.

According to Sirisena, the luxury vehicle is one of only 25 Phantom Centenary Edition models produced worldwide to mark the 100th anniversary of the Rolls-Royce brand. He shared details of the car in a social media post, describing it as a fully upgraded special edition created to celebrate the marque’s centenary.

However, Sirisena used the moment to reflect on his personal business story rather than focusing solely on luxury. He revealed that he began his entrepreneurial journey nearly 40 years ago, starting with the purchase of his first lorry after pawning his wife’s jewellery due to financial hardship.

He said the achievement of owning one of the world’s rarest luxury vehicles represents decades of persistence, sacrifice and determination, adding that the milestone is a source of pride for Polonnaruwa and Sri Lanka as well as for those who supported him along the way.

Sirisena also used the occasion to encourage young entrepreneurs, urging them to remain committed to their goals despite challenges, and highlighting resilience and long-term effort as key factors in achieving success.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Centenary Edition is regarded as one of the most exclusive versions of the Phantom, blending bespoke craftsmanship with the heritage of the British luxury car manufacturer.
