Dr. Maheshi Wijerathna further remanded over corruption charges

Colombo, July 8 (Daily Mirror) - The specialist neurosurgeon Dr. Maheshi Wijerathna, attached to the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, was today ordered to be further remanded until July 15 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayathunga over allegations of corruption.

The second suspect, Nimal Ranjith, and the third suspect, Kakulanda Liyanage, were released on bail.

The Chief Magistrate granted bail with a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 and two sureties of Rs. 2 million each.

Yours is pure JVP theory. They were providing a service that was short in supply. Demand and supply determines the price. If poor had money for others to rob, then why do you call them poor. Majority of poor persons are not doing any skilled work or whatever the money they earn, they spend on Alchohol. Get out of stupid JVP mentality if you want to come out of poverty.
