Dr Bellana in hot water over comments on Ranil’s health

A disciplinary investigation has been initiated against Deputy Director of the National Hospital Colombo Dr Rukshan Bellana for making public statements to the media regarding the health condition of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

According to the Deputy Minister of Health, the officials are not permitted to disclose sensitive medical information of patients without proper authorization, especially in the case of high-profile individuals.

This government is basically "insane". He never divulged "sensitive" medical information about Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe but gave general updates about his health condition. Hey guys, I tell you, we are heading towards a draconian Communist state where people have no right to talk or do anything. It is obvious he had a ulterior motive behind his behavior. Further as far as I remember .he was appointed as a political party organaiser for a electorate and therefore may have violated rules and regulations of government services act.

Nothing wrong with Dr. Rukshan Bellana. He had done the best to our Former President Ranil Wickramasinghe and expressed the facts to the public to know. No need to take disciplinary investigation against this doctor he did not kill anybody.

All admitted are patients who are being treated alike in a hospital as same as the law enforcement on everybody alike. But he (the leda) is a veteran politician and an exceptional case who gets local and international media attention, so the medical sources have to provide correct, unbiased information for mass media which is not a big question unless this episode being not directed at Pellawood studios..

Really surprised that the medical reports submitted were not investigated for accuracy and credibility, given that Bellana was also a political organizer for the UNP!! Wasn't there a definite conflict of interests, I bel;ieve in this issue

Sorry mate, what planet are you living on?! NPP is not corrupt and they are not Comminist - do you even know te difference between Socialist and Communist? There is a VAST difference. This government has done nothing - Communist. If you want to stretch terms, you could certainly call most of the previous regimes as - Dictatorial or Facist - wakey wakey lol
