a hypocritical strike by educated intelligent medical personnel, professionals at that without their iconic "tunic"unconcerned about patiently waiting suffering patients held to ransom who had nothing to do with the offence which should have been reported to the hospital police post immediately. The offence was commited at Anuradhapura but the unreasonable strike was enlarged to the entire island's medical network until the culprit was caught - he was caught finally but no immmediate "strike off" call was issued.but the strike continued and some medics were seen rushing to attend to channel service bookings in the interim period!!! In general it is sad to observe that hospitals and courts resemble a pettah market the way the public walk in and out even with police on duty. The professionals should have one two-way IN OUT gate similarly for the public but two seperate gates IN/OUT with a valid document in hand for entry

Continued stricke caused harm to so many from public purse paid doctors Thursday, 13 March 2025 01:41 PM

These doctors have poor character. As soon as suspect was arrested they should have quickly convened meeting instead of continuing to take day off and neglecting their duties. Utterly repressible, and the continued strike may have done more damage than a rape to the sick persons who did not get seen or get required medicines.

These doctors are ruthless. Although people hate them, they treat them to be better. When people insult them using filthiest words mentioning their mothers, they still treat them. When buffoons like the most commenters here make inhumane assumptions and illogical theories, they still treat them. Finally who blamed, who insulted, who criticised will be buried in their own ego and stupidity...

Whole suety is angry with them for not starting work immediately after the alleged rapist was arrested instead they issue statement saying boldly that we dont resume work until tomorrow.

As doctors with a high profile you should be ashamed for carrying out a strike and make the poor suffer. Hundreds of thousand curses would have been on you.
