Doctor drowns in Mirissa seas

Colombo, Dec. 26 (Daily Mirror)- A 49-year-old doctor drowned while bathing in the seas off Mirissa beach, Police said.

He was pronounced dead on admission to the Matara Hospital.

The deceased is the Chief Medical Officer of the Walana Hospital, Weligama.

He had assumed duties at the Walana Hospital about a month ago.
