Colombo, Feb 20 (Daily Mirror) - A discussion was held rcently at the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) head office to release high-quality exercise books to the market at a reasonable price.
The discussion was held with exercise book manufacturing institutions at the Consumer Affairs Authority's head office.
Accordingly, two rounds of discussions with several leading book manufacturing institutions in Sri Lanka, namely Atlas, Richard, Nalaka, Akura, Virodhara, SPC and Dumidu, were held on January 17 and February 19, to discuss the benefits of reducing production costs to the consumers due to the changes in electricity tariffs, exchange rates and fuel prices.
The CAA continues to conduct market raids, investigations and hold regular discussions with the relevant institutions to make the necessary intervention to provide the consumers with the benefits of reducing the production costs of the goods.
