Sri Lanka's Test skipper Dimuth Karunaratne has been nominated for the ICC Men's Test Player of the Year 2021 award.

India's spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, England captain Joe Root and New Zealand's all-rounder Kylie Jamieson have also been nominated for the ICC Men's Test Player of the Year award.

No one deserves more than Joe Root. Highest test runs scorer in the calendar year 2021. What more does anyone need? Unfortunately, right now, he is leading a set of rotten batters. His bowlers are fine.
