Defense Ministry to look into Fonseka’s revelation of errors in 6th volume of Mahawansa

Defense Secretary Kamal Gunaratne today assured to look into the concerns raised by SJB MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka in Parliament recently over the factual errors in the 6th volume of Mahawansa.

He told the online press conference at the Presidential Media Centre (PMC) that he would discuss with the President and take steps to rectify if there had been any errors as pointed out by the Field Marshal.

Responding to a question, he said he would speak to Fonseka and obtain the document he tabled in Parliament pertaining to the errors in the 6th volume of Mahawansa.

“He had tabled a document comprising some 70 pages. I will speak to him and get it down. I will take action to rectify it if there has been any mistake,” he said.

Fonseka told Parliament recently that the government should take steps to rectify factual errors in the 6th volume of Mahawana with regard to the war against the LTTE, claiming that there are more than 70 factual errors in the 6th Volume. (Ajith Siriwardana)
