Death toll rises to 16

Another victim of the Ella–Wellawaya bus accident has succumbed to her injuries, raising the death toll to 16, hospital sources said.

The 43-year-old woman, who had been receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Badulla Teaching Hospital, passed away following severe injuries sustained in the crash on September 4.
