Deadline for A/L applications has been extended until Nov. 20

The closing date of applications for GCE Advance Level (A/L) examinations has been extended until November 20, from tomorrow, the Examinations Department said.

They said after announcing the cut-off marks for university admission, a large number of students have lost the opportunity to apply for selection for universities. 

Therefore, the decision was taken considering their requests to provide an opportunity to re-sit the examination.

Accordingly, applicants were requested to submit their application forms through the online system after obtaining details from the Examinations Department's official website, www.doenets.lk, and through the mobile application 'DoE'.

Meanwhile, arrangements are also being made to conduct practical examinations related to the aesthetic subjects of the A/L examination from December 1 to 11, the Examinations Department said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
