Daily Mirror sweeps Journalism Awards for Excellence 2024 bagging seven awards

The Daily Mirror won several top awards at the Journalism Awards for Excellence 2024, highlighting its strong presence across journalism platforms.

Nishel Fernando won the Business Journalist award, Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrema was named Environment Journalist, and M.S.M. Ayub received the B.A. Siriwardena Columnist of the Year award. Awantha Artigala secured the Cartoonist of the Year title.

The Investigative Journalist of the Year award went to Nirmala Kannangara. 

Meanwhile, Daily Mirror Online received a Merit Award, and photographer Kushan earned a Merit Award for Photographer of the Year.
