Colombo, Feb. 16 (Daily Mirror) - A large number of international cricket fans arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake aboard 15 special private jets to witness the high-profile India-Pakistan encounter of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup held in Colombo on February 15.
Airport officials said the special flights carried enthusiastic supporters from several countries, highlighting the global appeal of the much-anticipated clash between the two cricketing giants.
The India–Pakistan fixture, widely regarded as one of the most intense rivalries in international cricket, drew significant international attention, with fans travelling in large numbers to be part of the electrifying atmosphere in Colombo.
Authorities at the airport had made special arrangements to facilitate the arrival of the private jets and ensure smooth immigration and customs clearance for the visiting fans.
