Colombo, Feb 19 (Daily Mirror) - The Colombo District Court today issued an enjoining order preventing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) from removing Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka from the party positions.
The District Court made this order pursuant to a plaint filed by Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka against SJB office bearers.
This order will be effective till March 4.

We can't understand why SL courts interfere in inner party problems.It should be left to the party decision.Sl courts have too much outstanding cases, better action must be taken to close those cases early.

Well said. People will loose faith in these institution very soon. They drag on property related matters for ages and then sc has to solve the issues. Here they are wasting time on a position appointed by a party leader. Former corrupted slc board also protected in a similar way. Looks like the legal system specially the lower courts need intelligent individuals as judges.

You are paid by public funds not pvt money. People will loose faith in courts very soon and judges may even experience similar situation to that of politicians unless these matters are corrected. Sarath Fonseka is undoubtedly Sri Lanka's best presidential candidate! He combines all the qualities and abilities to become a great president!!! Premadasa would be unsuitable for high state office in every respect!!! What remains a mystery to me is why a man like Fonseka, who has done extraordinary things for the country, still associates himself with such a party with such a party leader!!! Basically, as a strategic thinker, he knows that a decisive victory, and that means a real majority, cannot be achieved with the SJB! He should look for majorities that suit his personality and character outside of this party! Can Sri Lanka politically do without such a man if the country's typical problem areas are to be permanently eliminated and a more hopeful future is to be opened up for the next generation!!!

Based on this development, we can easily understand that Sarath Fonseka was not welcome by NPP. Therefore he is fighting now to possibly remove Sajith from the leadership. Sf wants to contest presidential election hoping that he would win.

Sajith trying his best to relocate SF to Ranil's camp. Harin and Rajapaksas in Ranil camp will either fallout over SF or lose faith in Ranil if he takes SF. SJB also knows that the international community is not pleased with SF. May be SF should join NPP.

It’s Sad party cannot take a decision on its affairs based on disciplinary grounds. SF knows he has no where to go and no one will accept this ungrateful man with multiple personality disorder. SFs time is up and He was given ample opportunities to show his political maturity. but He was failed to become better politician and actually He keeps going backwards. he would never have been a good president as I earlier though as well. He is a person full of hatred and poison. wherever he goes he poisons the team and the environment. He was a man who completely screwed up his own chances to become the president by bringing an unnecessary flight fag issue. he did this to attack Gota and he was with full of hate that he could not even realize it would affect his campaign negatively. Sajith is 100 times better for a president than this crazy man and most of the candidates available right now.

Sarath failed to respect a person who made him Field Marshal and now fighting in SJB. It is highly doubtful whether SJB can solve the economic problems, already Sajith failed to takeover when offered. Si it is better to dissolve the party and co-operate with Ranil.

My advice to both parties is to get their act together for the sake of party welfare. Both parties are acting like jack asses. If Mr. Fonseka is not happy with party decisions, then gracefully go somewhere else. Sajith also doesn’t have the right to threaten Mr. Fonseka with disciplinary action .

Wijayasiri, as you can see from my comment, I share your basic comment about Fonseka! He would be a president who would fight the root evils of Sri Lankan politics! Only a man of his stature and character, together with a selected team, can succeed! He also has the experienced eye and human knowledge of a victorious military to select such a team! There is no doubt that he would also be a president who could provide new and correct impulses with regard to overcoming the stagnating “reconciliation process” between Tamils and Sinhalese! He also knows the Tamil people and knows about their needs and legitimate demands! Fonseka is a man of the whole people, the Sinhalese as well as the Tamils!!!
