Court orders CCTV footages of vehicles exit from Pinnaduwa on June 5,7
The Galle Magistrate today ordered the Director of Southern Expressway to submit the CCTV footage of the vehicles that exit from the Pinnaduwa Exit Point on June 5 and 7 to the Galle Divisional Crimes Investigation Division.
The Magistrate issued the order after considering the submission made by the OIC of Galle Divisional Crimes Investigation Division that the police received information that a large number of people travelled to Galle through the Southern Expressway to receive the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine violating quarantine laws.
The OIC informed Court that an investigation has been launched into the incident, which was unveiled by the media.(D.G. Sugathapala)
