Couple killed in fire at house in Kadawatha

A couple aged 53 and 57 years old have been killed in a fire that erupted at the top floor of a house at Eldeniya in Kadawatha early this morning, police said.

They said the deceased were residents of Kadawatha.

The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed and the Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO) of Kelaniya and Kadawatha Police launched an investigation into this tragedy.
