Cop shoots himself at Padiyathalawa Police station

Colombo, May 6 ( Daily Mirror) - A 59-year-old police constable attached to the Padiyathalawa Police Station in Ampara has reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service firearm early this morning.

Police said the constable was found dead inside the police post. 

The deceased was a resident of Bibila.
