Cop remanded over ’Ganemulla Sanjeewa’ murder investigation

Colombo, Feb 21 (Daily Mirror) - The police officer arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of underworld figure "Ganemulla Sanjeewa" has been remanded until March 7.

The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court issued the remand order today.

In addition, the court has ordered the detention and interrogation of the driver who allegedly transported the suspected shooter involved in the killing.

The police officer, attached to the Negombo Police Station, was arrested on February 20 due to his suspected links to Ishara Sewwandi, the female suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of "Ganemulla Sanjeewa" inside the Aluthkade Courts Complex.
