Conspiracy to destroy SJB, Sajith: Mujibur Rahman

Colombo, July 20 (Daily Mirror) - Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mujibur Rahman dismissed rumours of an internal move to replace Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, while warning of a deliberate conspiracy to politically weaken both the party and its leader.

“There has been no discussion within the SJB to remove Sajith Premadasa from his position as Opposition Leader,” Rahman said at a media briefing.

“However, there are certain elements working to politically destroy both our party and its leader.”

He alleged that these elements appear to be operating with the tacit support of the government.

Meanwhile, Rahman also commented on potential new alliances, noting that bringing in experienced politicians such as Dayasiri Jayasekera would be a positive move.

“Dayasiri is a capable and seasoned politician. Welcoming people like him into the SJB will strengthen the party,” he added.

Yes Dayasiri is a capable and seasoned politician. He started UNP and asked our vote. Then he went to SLFP and asked our vote. What hypocrisy Rilasiri. Then he played our the Presidents Fund. He lied and apologised publicly. Great Politician Mujibur well qualified for SJB.

Dayasiri is only capable of singing at weddings. No outside force or elaborate planning is needed to destroy Sajith. He's a nepo baby walking disaster who lacks any quality to be a party leader of a future leader of the nation.
