Commodity tax on potatoes, big onions increased by Rs. 20 per kilo

Special commodity tax on imported potatoes and big onions had been increased by Rs.20 per kilo with effect from today, the Finance Ministry said.
Accordingly, the commodity tax on potatoes had been increased to Rs. 35 from its previous amount Rs. 15 while tax on big onions had been increased to Rs. 25 from Rs.5.
