Colombo–Badulla night mail trains cancelled; Parcel services suspended

Colombo, Nov. 27 (Daily Mirror) - The Railway Department announced that the Colombo–Badulla and Badulla–Colombo night mail trains have been cancelled until further notice due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions affecting several railway lines.

In addition, parcel transport services from Peradeniya to Badulla and from Kandy to Matale have also been temporarily suspended. Officials said the decision was taken as a safety precaution in response to reports of fallen trees, landslides, and unstable track conditions in multiple areas.

Passengers are advised to contact railway authorities for updates and use alternative transport arrangements where possible.
