Heavy vehicle drivers are maniacs in SL, no accountability. Govt should bring mandatory custodial sentences for causing death, similar to Australia.

These lorry bus and most other drivers are killers on the road . They have no respect for other road users. Deshabandu should launch another campaign like Ukthiya to nab these unruly drivers.

Today, one lorry (on the lorry it was written Darshana Hardware, Kadawatha) overtook my car which was waiting at a pedestrian crossing and almost knocked a pedestrian crossing in front of my car. Its god's grace the pedestrian escaped. A few years back, when Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksha was the secretary of defence, he made sure all vehicles obey traffic rules, especially at crossings. Is it no more enforced?

The carnage happening on the roads comes to your home only when it happens to one close and dear to you

Heavy vehicles like lorries busses and trucks must mandatorily be driven on the left lane in Colombo and suburbs also speed limits strictly be implemented

Time wasted by taking her to a private hospital. Accident victims should be taken instantly to the National Hospital.
