Colombo High Court sentences man to death for 2015 murder

Colombo, April 24 (Daily Mirror) - Colombo High Court Judge Adithya Patabendi sentenced Patrick Krishnanandan to death after convicting him of murdering a woman at a lodge on Hetti Veediya in 2015.  

Prosecutors said Krishnanandan killed the victim and concealed her body in a travel bag, which he later abandoned at a bus stop near the Bastian Mawatha bus terminal.  

After a full trial, the court found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and imposed the capital sentence.
