Chemicals suspected for ‘Ice’ production seized in Tangalle

Colombo, Sept. 7 (Daily Mirror) - Tangalle Police recovered a stock of chemicals suspected to be used in the production of the drug ‘Ice’ during a special raid in Netolpitiya, Tangalle, this morning (07).

The raid was carried out on a plot of land adjacent to Weliwenna Cross Road in Netolpitiya following information received from local residents. Police said the seized white chemical substance closely resembles the type used in the manufacture of ‘Ice’.

Investigators found that the chemicals are similar to those discovered during an inspection of a plot of land in the Thalawa area, Middeniya, where a large cache of drug-making materials had been found.
