Changing ministers will not solve health sector problems: Namal

MP Namal Rajapaksa said an investigation should be held and legal action taken if there have been wrongdoings in the country’s health sector.

He was commenting on the controversy surrounding medicinal drug imports to Sri Lanka.

"A firm stance must be taken, as this is not the first time this issue has surfaced," he said.

Asked if the Health Minister must be replaced, MP Rajapaksa said that a change of ministers will not solve the problems.

Over 90% of the minister are not qualified of their ministry's. This is the biggest problem in the parliament. Just because they bring in votes they have to be given ministry's. The best thing is in future elections people should not vote for an individual but a party. This solves the problem.

Namal is a corrupt individual, who swindled from many avenues, from rugby to hospital building. And of course he would not want another corrupt minister being changed. What qualifications or experience do these guys have to make competent decisions that affect country's vital sectors? Yes it's true. Changing the minister will not give a anticipated results. The system of procument must be changed. Rajapaksha style procurement has made this misery in the health sector. The sectary and the Director general must be removed immediately.All Uneducated ministers must be taken out. Not only Kehiliya there are several fools who knows how to roob are in the cabinet.
