State Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, who repeatedly used Channel Eye instead of Channel 4 when referring to the Channel 4 exposure on the Easter Sunday attacks, swiftly corrected himself after being informed by a fellow MP.

The Minister went on to mention that 'Channel Eye' had a personal grudge against the Rajapaksas and everyone in the country was aware of this. When reporting the war in Sri Lanka, 'Channel Eye' reported what the LTTE had done as something done by the state army.

Soon after a fellow MP pointed out that it was not Channel Eye and it should be Channel 4, he corrected himself.

"Sorry, it is a mistake. I beg your pardon," the Minister apologized.

The circus goes on, so much so, whereas in 1948, there was 1 or 2 maximum such characters in the August Assembly, gradually Improved or appropriate to state DECLINED to 215, leaving handful sensible Humans remaining!!!??? Since 10/2004 was a Watershed!!! Catapulted at hypersonic speeds!!!???

But it's quite amusing to see how the quality in parliament has taken a nosedive. Remember Chamara Sampath, the seat you're occupying today was once graced by political giants like D.S. Senanayake, Sirimavo Bandaranaike, J.R. Jayewardene, S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, Ranasinghe Premadasa, Lalith Athulathmudali, Gamini Dissanayake, R. Premadasa, Vijaya Kumaratunga, and even the brainy bunch – Dr. N. M. Perera and Colvin R. de Silva. I mean, compared to them, you're like an ant at a picnic! But hey, apology accepted. Let's hope that divine intervention blesses our people and our beloved country with better days ahead.

How would you have better days, when 'Electors' and 'Elected', share the same PLATFORM!!!??? Devoid of knowledge, Literacy, Numeracy, adequately Supplemented with Idiosyncratic and ill-advised thought processes!!?? Same recycling of the OLD bad ways!!!?? God bless Sri Lanka!!??? SPOILT GOODS CANNOT BE REJUVENATED AS NEW!!!???

Prof. Hendry Solomon Friday, 08 September 2023 12:10 PM

This fellow Chamara Sampath got up and started talking about Channel-4 (even he did not know what he is going to speak about) he is such a mud. As because everyone talking about Channel-4 he too got up to show off and became a fool pronouncing Channel Eye. Ha... Ha... Ha...

Tissa Fernando Friday, 08 September 2023 02:44 PM

Why Rajapakshas are not suing Channel 4? Why Why Why? They have money for the lawyers. They should ask for billions of damages??? . Silence means guilty.
