Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has tested positive for COVID 19, a spokesman from the Archbishop's house said yesterday.

However the Cardinal is said to be out of danger and is resting. (Yohan Perera)

Although l am a buddist l highly appreciate and admire the task being done by the his eminent cardinal reverant father Malcom Ranjith so far for the wellbeing and betterment of the people. This reverant father is often standing with the people so as protect their fundamental rights against the suppression and oppression. Therefore he may be cured soon. Further God may give him more and more power thus courage to render a better service to the entire Srilankan for a considerable period

It is not nice to wish someone ill-health so I wish him a speedy recovery. But he should keep away from politics at all times. He should advise his " flock" NOT to engage in violent or nonviolent protests. Instead get those nuns and priests to mind the churches and convents or whatever that they are supposed to be minding, instead of getting "highlighted" in protests and then getting arrested. They have brought Absolute disgrace upon the entire Catholic church!!
