Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Bimal Ratnayake said in parliament today that they were not in a position to support the Vote on Account (VOA).
He said the VoA seemed like a mini-budget which was presented to carry out the ‘same old agenda’ of the United National Party rather than a VoA which would pay government workers their salaries.

90% of the fools who support parliamentarians are the notorious government workers. Glad to hear those fellows are dealt a blow that will keep them hungry this Christmas

sometimes you think whether the JVP is congenitally retarded
Citizen Friday, 21 December 2018 02:48 PM
This country is still suffering due to the destruction caused by the JVP during the 1988-1990 terror period where govt. property worth Billions were destroyed.

If it is same old policies then why you went to court to stop elections?
kamalhot1 Friday, 21 December 2018 03:03 PM
You people never be able to get the votes of intellectual in this country for sure, just keep talking not practical stuff to the media.
Unchikun Friday, 21 December 2018 03:04 PM
This is why the JVP fails at election. They want a VOA just to pay the government workers who do little work. A norrow political stunt. I was planning to vote for the JVP. Now think otherwise.

Good UNPer. Thinks about voting for the socialist JVP then votes the capitalist UNP anyway
nsathees Friday, 21 December 2018 03:07 PM
Need more details please . . . VOA is to get the Government running, not the budget!
Lokka Friday, 21 December 2018 03:18 PM
All good things done by these guys will go away with this wrong decision. Are they want punish public?
varunadhar Friday, 21 December 2018 04:37 PM
JVP knows very well that the VoA will pass without any issue. Had it anticipated any problems then they would have definitely supported the UNP. Just to hoodwink the masses that they are not in connivance with the UNP.

Ghost Friday, 21 December 2018 07:24 PM
JVP is taking that holier-than-thou attitude a bit too far and undoing all the good work they've done so far. People were just beginning to take a second look at them Shame!
Kavin Friday, 21 December 2018 07:39 PM
JVP will be JVP, nothing has changed if you brothers do this you will get only 3 seats in next elections. Remember there is a third force called SLPP.
Sach Friday, 21 December 2018 07:47 PM
