Colombo, July 8 (Daily Mirror) - The Cabinet has granted approval for the appointment of a three-member committee to investigate irregularities reported at the Central Cultural Fund (CCF) between 2017 and 2020.
According to the government, concerns have been raised over various financial irregularities, particularly in the provision of funds to religious sites for different activities during the period in question.
The decision to appoint the committee was taken at the 223rd Governing Council meeting of the Central Cultural Fund, held in May 2025. The committee is tasked with examining the alleged irregularities and recommending necessary action based on its findings.
