Cabinet Committee meets to ensure uninterrupted public service



Colombo, March 20 (Daily Mirror) - The first meeting of the Cabinet Committee appointed to ensure the continuity and systematic functioning of the public service was held yesterday (19) at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya.

During the meeting, extensive discussions focused on maintaining uninterrupted public services while effectively managing energy resources, particularly in light of challenges arising from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The Committee emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuous delivery of essential government services without disruption. Attention was also given to identifying practical measures to sustain service delivery and to ease the difficulties faced by public sector employees under the prevailing conditions.

Among those present were Minister of Public Administration A. H. M. M. H. Abayaratne, Secretary to the President Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthri, and Chief of Staff to the President Prabath Chandrakeerthi.

Also in attendance were senior ministry secretaries including Anil Jasinghe, Kapila C. Perera, T. M. Udayanga Hemapala, and T. R. W. S. Dhanapala, along with Chairman of the Petroleum Corporation D. J. A. S. S. Rajakaruna and other committee members.
