Colombo, April 11 (Daily Mirror) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced a temporary suspension of the QR-based fuel quota system for petrol vehicles, effective from today (April 11) until April 18, 2026.
The decision was made to facilitate easier travel for the public during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year festive season.
CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna said that while the QR quota is temporarily lifted, the odd-even number plate system remains strictly in effect.
