Police launched investigations into the shooting incident targeting the vehicle of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Uddika Premarathne last night, police said.
They said the shooting incident took place in front of the MP's residence in Anuradhapura.
The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to conduct an immediate investigation.

Why only this case shooting handed over to the CID. What about other shooting everyday. Its seems that they don't trust the Police.

You seem to have selective reporting. Why was there no reporting of the incident where thugs attacked MP Gajendran. Was it because he is from a minority community and the thugs were from Majority community?
