Colombo, June 25 (Daily Mirror) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court that an investigation has been launched into the overseas trips undertaken by former President Ranil Wickremesinghe during his Presidency.

Presenting facts before Colombo Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura, CID officers stated that the inquiry is being conducted under the Offences Against Public Property Act.

It is about time, his wasteful overseas trips are investigated. A guy who does not speak a word of english was taken for the UN sessions. What for? He did not miss a single wedding, birthday and funeral during this 2 years as president of Sri Lanka.

What about 60 Kgs organic vegetables he ate every week, grown on a state land in Nuwara Eliya while thousands of people were going hungry. A reasonable amount should be changed from him. It was an abuse of power which he got because of circumstances.

If npp is bankrupt to this extent they should investigate Harinis recent trip which is not a government to government invitation where she should use her own money not public funds. All past and present leaders and ministers should be investigated to the last penny. This looks like Walan Shanis work. Lol
